for sugar beet quality control
ZILALINE is automated line which make all type of laboratory analyses for reliable quality assessment and cost determination of sugar beet from each car, from each farmer.

1. Bridge construction and Sampler
The sampler recognizes the outline of the truck and the flatbed, determine its type and exact location below sampler. Depending on the type and location, it determines where it can take a sample. It randomly selects one of the possible places and takes a sample of sugar beet.
Standardly work in 3 axes which guarantees fast processing and accurate sampling without the risk of damage sampler or trucks. 2 axis system is also optional. The whole process is supervised and immediately interrupted in case of any danger.
Size of one sample is up to 60 kg, dimensions 26 cm width x 26 cm depth of the entire height of the truck flatbed). Which means possibility to process up to 120 tons of samples per day. All taken samples are later then transported to a sugar plants. and processed for sugar production.
2. Tare house
Tare house provides proper and automated process of sample preparation. Sample is scaled on tripod scales for gross weight than properly washed with 10 bar flat stream washing process. After that beets tops and roots are top off by 2 topping machines (3 are optional) and supervised up to 3 inspection conveyor zones.
When beets are clean the same sample is scaled one more time for net weight. Than beets are elevated to 3 meters height and fall down into 11 saw disks cutting machine. This process is crucial for extraction of small correct sample which represents the average results of the whole sample collected on the beginning of the process. We have got certificate from KWS company for our saw.
Small average sample is now prepared and automatically transported to laboratory track. Rest of the whole original sample is transported for sugar production.
3. Laboratory track
Sample is now going into fully automated process of proper scalling, mixing, filtrating, sampling and analyzing sugar beet samples. This process delivers standardized and human error proof results for each sample.
In case of outage or maintenance any section of laboratory track can be temporarily replaced by human until it’s back operating.

4. Automation and oversight
Automatic control and operating system of a complex on the basis of a PLC SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-15xx All system included Betalizer is interconnected, serviced on one server.
Our own LABTRAK software control the whole line and offer live observer visualization and management of preparation process of sampler, tare house and analyses of laboratory track in control room .
